There wasn't any ruling on the official version for the tournament. Neither party was willing to concede and it turned into a big scene. The opponent was aware of what would happen and was quite against this change. However, we had a player want to switch from 1.02 to 1.00 for the sole purpose of using the hitlag mechanics for low percentage hits to not take SDI inputs.
Usually it's not enough of a big deal to matter. Most of the setups are run off 20XXTE, and as such the option to switch between 1.00 and 1.02 is available for SDI inputs. An interesting event happened yesterday at a tournament.
